Founded in 1994 in Kisumu, Kenya, our charity organisation is dedicated to fighting poverty, hunger, malnutrition, and food crises affecting vulnerable communities in East Africa.
In Kisumu, Kenya’s third-largest city, a staggering 60% of residents live in impoverished conditions. Nationally, 20.9% of Kenyans face ‘absolute poverty,’ but in Kisumu, this figure is three times higher. To address these dire circumstances, we established an orphanage and madrassah school to support orphans, widows, destitute individuals, and the extremely poor without discrimination, providing vital assistance to those in need across the region.
Our reach extends beyond Kenya. We support extremely poor reverts and families in the Sindh and Punjab provinces of Pakistan, communities often neglected by mainstream society and lacking basic necessities like clean water, food, and education. In the Occupied Palestinian Territories, we work with local charity partners to provide food aid, water aid, medical aid, and orphan sponsorship, offering hope and relief to those in desperate situations.
We operate year-round, providing food, medical aid, shelter, water relief, livelihood support, and disaster relief during emergencies. Our timely interventions save lives, and we also focus on establishing healthcare, education, and livelihood programs, paving the way for empowered, self-sustaining communities.
An essential part of our mission is to spread Islam and offer Dawah to non-Muslims in Kenya and Pakistan. Our dedicated daees have invited thousands of men, women, and children to voluntarily embrace Islam.
Besides our international campaigns, we also run a local food bank at our masjid. This food bank serves as a collection point where we support community members who are financially struggling to put food on the table. We serve as a vital support link, striving to ensure that those who rely on food banks like ours are never left hungry.
We aim to be a catalyst for change, creating a just, caring, and sustainable world. Though we are a small local charity compared to global organisations, we are committed to transforming the lives of orphaned children, the vulnerable, and the very poor, creating lasting change in their communities.
As a faith-based charity, our values shape our unique identity as an Islamic organisation. They guide how we serve the most vulnerable people worldwide on behalf of our donors. We take great pride in our transparency and accountability, empowering communities, treating each individual with respect and honour, providing opportunities through equitable aid distribution, and remaining committed to our 100% donation policy, ensuring every contribution is used effectively to fulfil your Amanah.
